    Thanks for dealing with a difficult subject. I very much appreciate the no-snap-judgement approach taken here, but I have a question. Suicide seems to me to represent a complete loss of hope. Since the Holy Spirit indwells a believer (1 Tim 1:14) and since the Holy Spirit is a spirit of hope (Rom 15:13), it is difficult to believe that a believer could commit suicide even in a very dark time. Does this arguement hold any sway in the conversation/evaluation?
