I know “Old Rasputin” but what is in the green bottle?

I did a little research on this subject a few years ago. My question was this, “Why would a godly man like Tyndall use the word Easter in his NT translation. Maybe it’s not the name Easter but what it means that count. In some dictionaries the word Easter as a adjective means, near east. I read sometime ago, I don’t remember where, but it said that Easter also means, “risen sun”. Happy Easter!!!

I recently read an interesting piece defending “Easter” as a Xian term precisely because of its relation to “east” and “risen sun,” as you mention, Tammy.
