This was very helpful to me, since I’ve been struggling with how to relate to the mosaic law, I would sure like to hear Doug have a longer discussion about this subject. Thank you!

If anyone knows of a sermon or message where Doug speaks more about the law, could you please post a link to it here?

Is baptism or say communion ceremonial law?

Should have stopped at “every Christian has to be a Theonomist”….. Man I love that. You ARE a word smithy and charmer to boot! I very much appreciate Pastor Wilson!

Pastor Wilson, Dr. Bahnsen (and others) have commented in helping understand the context of the “rail around the roof” challenge. As the NT authors showed by example, reapplying the OT laws was still possible in a NT context (Do not mussel the ox as well as do not be unequally yoked). Putting a railing around the roof had a moral core, to safeguard life which pointed back to the decalogue. Putting a rail around a 2 story deck would be sufficiently adhering to the civil as well as moral core of the OT law in a NT context. The general equity that you spoke of. Of course Dr. Bahnsen did a much more masterful job of explaining it… I would urge you to revisit them. His book answering Theonomy’s critics (No Other Standard) also responds to some of the toughest questions posed to the system.

you sound like a bit more than a “general equity Theonomist” :)
