Very well articulated. Thank you for taking the time to make these. I’m very helped by them.

Luke 3:14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man…

Any references/authors who elaborate your understanding of the Civil War as a turning point of the Bill of Rights from states rights to federalism and thus leading to the socialistic leadership we have today? This is very interesting. Thank you for this post.
Also related to this I have a friend who quit a prosperous career in the military because he did not believe that he could keep his vow to defend the constitution from enemies foreign and DOMESTIC since the overreaching executive branch clearly is an enemy to the constitution in his eyes.
So what about “wars” not declared by congress? (e.g. Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc…) Would a conscientious Christian soldier who fights in these “wars” (which are in some respects unconstitutional) be breaking their vow to defend the constitution? Or would this fall under trust God, do our duty?

Seems to be making it pretty easy for the 18 year old to join an army going to war. If there’s any doubt at all about the cause, shouldn’t a person refrain from the fight?
