Character in the non-christian work place is not honored! Believe me! I have expereinced working for fast food places and they were unfair and did not reward my work ethic or hard work. They had me working a very physically demanding job to start out and put me through much pressure. I worked hard and well, sometimes management does not oversee how work ethics are not honored. It is very politically charged and unjust and discriminating…very harsh and judgemental. They set you up for failure and they randomly decide if they want to keep you or not…saying stuff like “YOU are not a good fit”….Only job i had where I felt like they treated me good was the one where i was in a Union….I joined a Union….
Elizabeth, hard work and character pay off (Proverbs), but it’s true that it’s not always automatic and immediate. Sometimes you’re persecuted for doing good. But keep it up - God will honor it. Those environments are often like that because of a chronic lack of character. The more people display godly character, work joyfully and hard for their employer, and are truthful, the more those environements will change. It won’t happen over night.
Thanks so much for the encouragement Daniel! Yes, it wont happen over night. Thanks again, for your encouraging words.
