Thanks for sharing your church life. Very helpful. Doug, i know you’ve mentioned before about why you use real wine, but why not use unleavened bread in communion?

Good looking family for that Covenant Baptism

Great! Thanks for that. Very insightful.

Awesome. Might consider during confession of sin to have the leader his own self get down on those knees — powerful symbol of shepherding it would be.

oops — maybe at 1:53 Doug went down for his own sin confession — probably video cut that out. That pretty much makes up for standing during the general confession. Plus I imagine kneeling during the first part might smack of Roman or high churchishness for y’all. Too bad you don’t have a “real church” with pews and carpet. So uncomfortable and busy, this environment. Still, I’d rather join one prayer in this barn what with all the evident grasp of immediacy and genuine biblical content, than be stuck wandering in junk elsewhere.

Beginning about 4:13, admission of new member — “Do you as a congregation receive this member …” implies that heretofore this brother had not / could not / would not yet be “received” as a member because — by your definition (unbiblical, IMHO) — he had not been a member of your congregation. So technically before this point he had not been “entitled?” to the rights / privileges / responsibilities of your “membership”, despite being a real member (organic & Biblically defined) of your community for quite some time. Finally, the liturgy seems to show some congregational authority in the matter of receiving members, as though Israel has to first approve ingrafting of the nations.

At *:01 to 8:17 who is so cold as to not be warmed at the sight of adorable little ones taking sustenance with and through their parents!
